This is a 2-part workshop you do not want to miss! Filomena will help you make sense of what you purchase at the Grocery store. Ask anyone and they will tell you that they read nutrition labels. But, do they understand what they are reading? Chances are they don’t fully understand or even know what to consider that is important.
Part 1 of the Nutrition Labelling Workshop series will inform you on what to look for on a food product to determine whether it is a healthier choice. It will help you to better understand how to use % Daily Value and when not to, and to make sense of the nutrition label including carbohydrates, fats and protein – well beyond calories!
Part 2 will apply what you have learned in the previous class. Learn to navigate the grocery store as Filomena will walk you through the aisles and guide you to what you really need to know about packaged foods and making healthier choices!
